Last week on Sunday September 25, 2011, at the Bundaberg Distilling Company, Bundaberg had their “Rumvention” where they released their latest edition to the family – Bundaberg Port Barrel Rum. The Bundy port barrel rum forms part of their Master Distillers collection. Named so because it was distilled in old port barrels form the Barossa Valley region in South Australia.
As mentioned on the Bundaberg website:
“These port barrels are from the famous South Australia Barossa region and have been ageing port for up to 35 years. Allowing the rum the right amount of contact with port infused oak barrels is a challenging art.”
Although the rum won’t be available in stores until November, you may be able to win a bottle buy helping solve “conundrums” on the Bundy Rum Facebook page here.
Good luck – can’t wait to try this latest offering from Bundaberg.
